MOVIES:
* Sex and the City: I heart Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and the old one, so how could I not love this movie? It was like watching a very long episode and it's exactly what I expected it to be and more. The critics were looking for a stand-alone piece, methinks, and overlooked the fact that it was made for those who watch or watch the show. I laughed, cried (3 times) and fell in love again with NYC. My fave gal-pal, Sara, and I made an afternoon out of it - first by lunching at Pastis, then having cosmos at East of 8th prior our 2:30.
* Cyndi Lauper Bring You To The Brink: Such a friggin' good album, it hurts. I can't stop listening to it and just when I think I have a favorite song, I switch to another (Rocking Chair...no...Lay Me Down...no...Echo). This shizz is well produced, the songs are well written and Cyndi sounds amazing. I would suggest downloading it as soon as you finish reading this - yes, it's that good.
THEATER:
* Cry Baby: One of my fave films (I love John Waters and when he makes a cheesy musical, I LIVE for him), Cry Baby make a really fun musical. I had heard a whole bunch of word-of-mouth reviews which were all on the fence between loving and hating it, but after what I saw last night, I can safely say that I LOVED it. The cast rocks, the choreography rolls and the pace is spot-on. I may just go see it again...
