Today is the last day to vote to get me into the top 5 on The Big Gay Sketch Show's casting site, so I ask you to PLEASE go vote for me TODAY. I'm currently 8th and need to be in the top 5 to move onto the final round.
Every year in NYC, the first day of Spring is celebrated by the homosexuals with a ritual event called The Black Party. It a big dance party that involves 12 hours of dancing, 3 DJs, and thousands of men in leather with a smattering of stage acts and presentations. I like to think of it as the Big Gay Prom.
Why, you ask? Take these 2 lists into consideration - comparing the two:
Am I wrong?
And, no, I"m not going. I went through that in the 90s when I was but a young gay...
My heart breaks for Liam Neeson, the 2 sons, and family of Natasha Richardson who was taken off life support today.
She was a phenomenal actress and an amazing woman (she was a driving force in amfAR since she lost her father to AIDS-related complications in 1991), and I, for one, will miss seeing her on stage.
She was slated to star with her mother, Vanessa Redgrave, in a Broadway revival of A Little Night Music. Sadly, the huge Sondhem fan in me wanted nothing more then to see the two of them singing my favorite score.
I know that it goes without saying, but gays across this country are living under archaic laws that are discriminatory and we stand up and say "ENOUGH!."
2 friends of mine are a gay couple in West Virginia and they have a son together. Here is what they have to live with: it is LEGAL to discriminate in the workplace based on homosexuality. It is also LEGAL to evict someone from their home because they are homosexual. How is that acceptable? Should these two men who are raising a child have to live in fear of losing their job or home based on loving one another?
Please, PLEASE help by signing up on their website and making your voice heard so that we can begin to stand up for our rights, even if we have to do it state-by-state.
I will be spinning a benefit for the Incarnation Children's Center which specializes in providing care for children and adolescents living with HIV/AIDS. Please join us in raising money for the center by buying a ticket for the auction/event which will take place one week from today. Tickets are $100 in advance.
Here is the info:

So Britney Spears kicked off her SH@!T CIRCUS Tour a couple nights ago to the delight of tweens and gays everywhere. I just watched video of the opening and was struck by how much it looked like the opening of the undisputed Queen of Pop. This shouldn't be so shocking seeing as how Jamie King directed both and only has so many tricks up hos sleeve... (Opening with video segments of herself, making her entrance from above in an orb, working the whip, etc.) Don't believe me? Here's Madonna...and here's Britney.
I've also seen video of Britney up close and I've gotta say that I hope she stops marking the show and treats every concert as a SHOW and not a DRESS REHEARSAL. And lip-synching still? Really?? I guess when one has limited talent...
And to make matters worse, THESE are your costumes??? Ouch.
I know it sounds like I'm hatin' on Brit-Brit and you're right. I'm hatin' on Brit-Brit. Guess I'm just tired of seeing mediocrity.
I have been trying to get myself together since finishing my last day at work last week and am finally getting out of the house and into society. I have lots to talk about, but my will to type has been marred by my fear of writing something wrong. AS IF THAT IS POSSIBLE ON ONE'S PERSONAL BLOG!!!
I needs to get my shizz together and get to doing what I was put on this earth to do.
Vote for me to get onto a TV show so that I can perform and make you smile weekly. Please...
